Even the most detail-oriented and organized athletes might go through periods of little to no progress. Whether it’s in the gym, on the track, or on the slopes. That’s why we’re here, to help you supplement any nutritional gaps so you can train harder and live stronger.
In our experience, this is the most common culprit, especially among women. It’s important to eat enough calories so your body has the necessary fuel to support your training goals and recovery. Additionally, your body needs ample protein to repair the muscles used during your training sessions.
If you suspect you’re not getting enough protein, check out our guidelines. They’re based on Health Canada’s recommendations so you know they’re accurate.
To get enough protein, include a protein source at every meal like chicken, fish, lean turkey, or eggs. You can make this goal so much easier by supplementing with Muscle 5, our all-in-one protein powder that delivers 40g of high-quality protein per scoop.
It happens to the best of us! Whether you simply love working out or are working hard towards a specific goal (like an upcoming 10K race), it’s easy to overtrain and underrecover.
To avoid overtraining, make sure you’re following your program – whether it’s a running program, strength program, or specific to your sport. In this case, going above and beyond might actually be causing you to overtrain.
To ensure adequate recovery, make sure you’re sleeping 7-8 hours per night, eating enough calories and protein, and managing your stress levels. If you’re doing all of these things, you need to supplement with Restore 9. The formula is based on decades of research to help you get back into action stronger and faster than before.
Each scoop has high-quality protein for muscle recovery, in addition to a balanced blend of electrolytes, and a 3-carb mixture to help replace sugars lost during the most intense workouts. It won’t fix overtraining, but it will give you a leg up on recovery!
This might sound counterintuitive to the problem above. But the reality is while some overtrain, some undertrain.
The general guidelines are to do two whole-body strength sessions combined with at least 150 minutes of moderate cardio per week.
If you’re training less frequently, that might be why you’re not seeing progress. However, if you are training that often, it could be you’re not working out with heavy-enough weights or with enough intensity on the treadmill (or track).
If it’s because you’re tired, make sure you’re getting 7-8 hours of sleep per night. If you find you’re still tired, supplement with Trim 7 for enhanced energy and focus. Take 3 capsules about an hour before your workout for optimal results.
